Philosophy

Philosophy in it's simplest form: If you were to ask me about what is philosophy, I would not have a very good definitive answer. But, what I can do is quote a great philosopher on what he thought about philosophy.

Bertrand Russell said, "Between theology and science there is a No Man's Land, exposed to attack from both sides, this No Man's Land is Philosophy"

Such a simple quote, sums such a great premise. It almost gives you very good sense of what is the purpose of philosophy.
